I do honestly think it could be a dirty lens or something but that doesnt explain why it normally can read every disc first time after strugling with the first one? I dont really want to completely dismantle my xbox but if anyone else has had this problem or knows what to do or what it is please let me know. Many thanks and sorry for 3 posts ^^

i rang up microsoft customer surport and to be honest i found them useless. Firstly i spook to a machine kept thinking it was the games problem, then when i finally got through to a person they thought it was the game(s) or the fact that the date and time is set wrongly on the xbox? wtf at this point my xbox was reading the discs. Its one of those problems that if u ask for help the disc works but when u try yourself it doesnt if it makes sence. If anyone could help id be grateful

my xbox360 finds it hard reading any games i put in to it and some of them dont even have a single scratch. It either says “open tray” thinking theres no game inside or thinks its a DVD. Now this problem only normally ocurs when i havent used it for a while like the next morning etc. After it sucessly reads a disc if i put in another straight after it normally can read it but it takes alot of attempts for it to read the first game i try.

i have a problem that all my backups in 2010 formats dont work but my orginals e.g gta iv and others work but my backups didnt work i got told off by my dad and this comes up on mine play as dvd

yeah my skate 2 game did that randomly but wat I did was I downloaded my game to my hardrive. Pretty much after I did that it stopped saying disk unreadable.

Thanks alot for replying so fast, i will buy some Verbatims and burn one, as a test and see if it works( i always use ImageBurn at 2x speed to write the .dvd file). And ca u please tell me what is ABGX?
